Step 2 of 7

Step 2: Establish Connection

Before you actually connect to your website, you need to tell SmartFTP about the FTP server you wish to connect to. In the tool bar, you can set the FTP Server name, Login, and Password. Use the following Settings:

Free Websites: ftp.churchserve.com
Almost Free Websites: ftp.churchserve.com OR ftp.yourdomain.com
Subdomain: yourwebsite.churchserve.com
Domain: ftp.yourdomain.com

Once the correct settings are in the toolbar, you can click the connect icon to establish a connection.

You should watch the Log panel for messages about the connection. See next step for sample successful connection. If not successful, you should see an error message.
